How the platform is built

Four areas of the screen and what to look for in each.

Find your way around the screen without spending time hunting for an element.

The four areas of the platform screenBinoDex
The four areas of the platform screen. Top: instrument and payout

The interface looks overloaded only for the first five minutes. In fact the screen divides into four areas, and each has its own job.

Top
— Instrument selection, the current payout, the chart type
Centre
— The chart — all the analysis happens here
Side panel
— Trade amount, expiry time, the direction buttons
Bottom or side
— Trade history, open positions, balance

The logic is simple: at the top you choose what you work with, in the centre you think, at the side you act, at the bottom you check the result.

Where the elements sit depends on the version and the device: in the mobile app the trade panel is usually at the bottom rather than the side. So what is worth remembering is not the coordinates of buttons but the purpose of the areas.

While the interface is unfamiliar, any trade is chance. Spend ten minutes touring the screen, and after that all your attention goes to the chart rather than to finding fields.

The usual mistake

Learning the position of buttons by heart. After an interface update that memory is useless, while an understanding of the areas is not.

Key takeaways

  • The screen divides into four areas by purpose, not by looks.
  • In the mobile version the trade panel is usually at the bottom — the logic is the same.
  • Navigate by the purpose of the areas, not by the exact position of buttons.

A note from Leon Mercer Academy

Go down the screen in the same order a decision is made: instrument → chart → amount and time → button.

A practical example

A two-minute exercise: without opening a trade, find the payout, the amount field, the time field and the trade history on the platform.

Say the purpose of each area out loud. Where you get stuck is the place to come back to after the next lesson.
